CJ: Mom, remember the exhibit ICE?
Me: Yes, at National Harbor, why?
CJ: Well, it was good, but it wasn't superb.
Me: Oh, really? Why wasn't it superb? (trying not to laugh)
CJ: I don't know, it just wasn't superb.
On Sunday, while I'm talking to my mom on the phone:
CJ: Mommy, come quick, you have to see this game!
Me: Okay, I'll look at it in a bit.
CJ: No, you have to come now!
Me: Okay.
CJ: Mommy, look there's a game for that thing that daddy has!!!! (pointing to the laptop screen)
Me:
CJ: Yes, it's a Thomas game pack. Can we buy it? It's $2.99, do we have that money?
Me: Yeah, sure. I'll take it out of your college fund.
I then proceeded to buy the Thomas game pack on my iPod touch, which turned out to be three games that kept CJ occupied quietly on the couch for 45 minutes. Afterward:
CJ: Mommy, the next time we're in the car, I don't need my take alongs. Can we bring this game with us all the time?
On Sunday morning:
CJ: Mama, I'm still hungry.
Me: But you just had a sausage egg mcmuffin and a glass of milk and a bowl of cereal.
CJ: I'm serious, mama, I'm soooo hungry! I'm starvin Marvin, ravenous beast! Can I have some Pirtate's Booty?
Me: No.
